These luxuriously soft, yet reasonably hard-wearing (unless you catch them on barbed wire or contact the fingertips with rough surfaces) gloves will provide instant and superb warmth and comfort in the coldest of weather. These unisex gloves are made in New Zealand from two local natural fibres: possum and merino, with a little nylon.

The gloves are available in nine colours and three sizes:

Small: up to 19 cm circumference
Medium: up to 23 cm circumference
Large: up to 26 cm circumference

Our range of possum-merino colours are sure to cheer up a chilly day. This possum-merino black is a good, dense black.

Possum-merino is lightweight, but hard-wearing. It has a luxurious feel. The wool composes 40% possum, 50% merino and 10% nylon. Possum and merino are natural fibres. Possum fibre is an amazing preserver of heat. Each fibre is hollow and this traps warmth, and thus is a good source of insulation. Merino wool wicks moisture away from the skin and is an amazing insulator. The nylon not only helps to draw these two fibres together but also adds strength. Possum-merino-nylon products can be laundered in the washing machine, on 30 °C, or lower. Hand washing is not a hardship as a possum-merino garment has very little weight to it, and holds very little water when being washed.
